Law

Under new European law, if you are disabled, or have difficulty moving around, you can receive assistance when you fly to and from Europe.

The law affects the whole of the travel process, ie booking flights, arrival at the airport, check-in, airport facilities, embarking and disembarking the aircraft, leaving the airport. It applies to travel agents and tour operators as well as airports and airlines, ie tour operators and travel agents must pass on your needs to the airlines and they in turn must inform the airports of the individual service(s) you need.

The travel section of the Foreign and Commonwealth website contains country-specific travel advice; this may be worth checking before you book your holiday.
