Disabled Holidays

Disabled holidays are now an integral part of the travel industry and by their very nature more research is required in finding suitable countries and resorts that would suit either those with disabilities or where changes have been made to allow those visiting more freedom.

Many people don’t think about the possible difficulties disabled people may have when it comes to holidays – the simple fact is some destinations are more suitable than others and while this may not seem particularly fair, it is just the way things are. Disabled holidays are becoming more available though - helped by things like Assisted Service at airports, access to wheelchairs, or better handling of specialist chairs and generally making locations more suitable for disabled people. The difficulty is that there are a variety of aspects of a holiday to look at, in terms of disabled visitors, due to there being many different requirements. Disabled holidays are improving and will hopefully continue to do so.
